Define the fuel before asking for a price
Firewood, wood briquettes and charcoal differ in raw material, dimensions, moisture, density, ash, packaging and intended use. A useful commercial RFQ should identify the exact product or specification instead of requesting only a price per tonne, pallet or truckload.
Firewood: specify species, moisture and log size
For kiln-dried firewood, state the preferred species, target moisture, log length, split size and packaging. Current product pages include Kiln Dried Oak firewood, Kiln Dried Beech firewood, Kiln Dried Ash firewood, Kiln Dried Hornbeam firewood, Kiln Dried Alder firewood and Kiln Dried Spruce firewood.
Briquettes: specify the format and pack configuration
RUF, Pini Kay and Nestro are different briquette formats. Compare RUF briquettes, RUF Oak Briquettes, Pini Kay wood briquettes and Nestro briquettes according to heat output, moisture, ash, dimensions and packaging.
Charcoal: specify the application and grade
Restaurant BBQ, hookah and other commercial uses can require different charcoal formats. Compare Hardwood Charcoal, Coconut Shell Charcoal, Shisha Charcoal, Hexagonal Charcoal and Mangrove Charcoal.
Packaging changes freight economics
Crates, net bags, cartons, shrink-wrapped packs, palletised packs and bulk formats all create different loading and freight requirements. Buyers should confirm the commercial pack format before comparing delivered offers.
Include destination and realistic volume
State the required quantity, delivery postcode or port and unloading conditions. Transport often becomes more efficient at higher load utilisation, but the applicable quotation must reflect the actual product and receiving site.
