Responsible sourcing
Preference for legal, documented raw material and responsibly managed forest resources.
Responsible sourcing and efficient wood processing
Pila Pasák works to use timber efficiently—from primary sawmilling and drying to joinery, pallet manufacturing and converting clean sawmill co-products into renewable wood fuel.
Our responsibility
Sustainability is considered throughout the production process—from raw-material sourcing to drying, manufacturing, packaging and delivery. The goal is to protect forests, reduce avoidable waste and support reliable long-term supply.
Raw materials include documented forest sources and sawmill co-products. Using residues, offcuts, sawdust and shavings in appropriate products helps extract more value from the available timber and supports a circular wood economy.
Four practical pillars

Sawmill co-products
Clean spruce and pine sawdust and shavings generated during cutting and planing are compressed into wood pellets. This turns a production co-product into a useful heating fuel.
Other materials can be directed to appropriate biomass, bedding, packaging, landscaping or industrial uses according to their cleanliness, particle size, moisture and customer specification.
From forest to finished product
Customer-focused sustainability
Sustainability also means making products that reach customers safely, reduce unnecessary handling and match the real transport environment.
Packaging can be adapted to product size, weight, handling conditions and shipment requirements.
Stable pallet loads and suitable protection can improve loading, unloading and long-distance delivery.
Consistent quality, clear communication and flexible planning support dependable customer partnerships.
