Prepare for EUDR Requirements Applying from the End of 2026
The EU Deforestation Regulation covers wood and relevant derived products. Current EU guidance says it will apply from 30 December 2026 for large and medium operators and certain micro/small operators already covered by the EU Timber Regulation, with 30 June 2027 applying to most other micro and small operators. Commercial parties should confirm their role, the exact product scope and the records required for each transaction.
Practical approach: keep product identity, origin, supplier/customer records and applicable traceability documents organised and request any destination-specific information early in the sales process.
