For bagged pellets, ask for the bag weight, number of bags per pallet, pallet protection and total pallet weight. These details affect warehouse handling and freight utilisation.
Plan around the receiving site
A delivery that works for a large distribution warehouse may not work for a smaller retail or heating-fuel depot. Confirm access, unloading equipment and receiving hours before transport is booked.
Compare like with like
When evaluating pellet quotations, compare the same grade, packaging, pallet configuration, delivery term and destination. A lower ex-works price does not always produce a lower delivered cost.
